Constitution of India, Articles 21 and 32 - Bonded Labour - Rehabilitation of - Report of Monitoring and Administration Committee of the National Human Rights Commission - Commission had decided to constitute a group of experts in the area of bonded labour.

ORDER

Dr. A.S. Anand, C.J. - A report has been sent by the Monitoring and Administration Committee of the National Human Rights Commission. From a perusal of the report (para 28) it appears that the Commission had decided to constitute a group of experts in the area of bonded labour for preparing a report on the present status, improvement of the existing schemes and to formulate recommendations to effectively implement the laws for abolition of bonded labour. The nominees of the expert group and the terms of reference have also been enclosed with the report. Let this matter lie over for six weeks and a request be sent to the National Human Rights Commission to forward the report of the expert group. In the meanwhile, copy of the report sent by the National Human Rights Commission dated 12-1-2001 shall be furnished to Mr A.K. Ganguli, learned amicus curiae in this case.

2. The FDR lying with UCO Bank shall be renewed for a further period of one year.
