Desai, learned senior counsel appearing for the respondent No.1 (Governor of the State of Jharkhand) submits that without regard to the question of maintainability of the petition, the fact remains that in view of the subsequent events the reliefs sought for in the petition no longer survive for adjudication and it will not serve any purpose now to keep the petition alive.
